Women’s Wellness & Parenting Support Center
Welcome to the Women’s Wellness & Parenting Support Center, we are a 501(C3) Non-profit organization dedicated to empowering Somali women by providing programs and resources to enhance their health, wellness, and parenting skills. Founded in 2022, WWPSC was inspired by the desire to support Somali women who face challenges in accessing education, resources, and dealing with mental health issues.
Our Vision
Our vision is to systematically address and reduce these issues, ultimately lowering the rate of suicide attempts and providing parents with the necessary knowledge, skills, and support they need. By creating a community where individuals feel understood and supported, we aim to foster a sense of belonging and connection.
Our Commitment
Our dedicated team is committed to providing a confidential and non-judgmental environment where you can openly share your experiences and work towards a brighter future. Together, we can break the cycle of shame and isolation, fostering empowerment and personal growth.
What we do
Women’s Wellness & Parenting Support Center has up to six programs that are all designed for women and children. We are adding more programs as we go, and curriculums are available upon request.
Who we are
This organization provides educational and treatment services, including individual and group therapy, tailored to the specific and unique cultural experiences of Somali women. WWPSC focuses on addressing Somali Women’s health issues, such as miscarriages, infertility, infant and child loss, postpartum depression psychosis, cultural shaming and biases, and family therapy.
Collaboration
WWPSC believes in the power of collaboration and is open to partnering with other organizations that share our values and goals. Together, we can create a more significant impact supporting Somali Women and their communities.
