Our licensed providers work closely with families, addressing their current challenges using evidence-based and cognitive therapy methods in both individual and group settings. Participants will learn techniques for transmitting trust and safety through body language, overcoming defensive reactions, and responding to difficulties in nervous system matching. Social engagement activities are used to promote attachment and regulation through role play for parents and children.

Parents will also learn communication techniques, emphasizing a gentle parenting style, regardless of their experience level. This program is inclusive and empowering, offering heart-opening experiences through role play, suitable for all families and women.

Through partnerships with K-12 schools in the Twin Cities catering to Somali children, we provide education and services to empower mothers and women. This program equips participants with the tools to advocate for themselves and their children, strengthening their bond and accessing available services.

Our program emphasizes healthy family-building and helps parents acknowledge and prevent the transmission of past trauma to future generations. It creates a safe, non-judgmental space for open conversations between parents and adolescents in the presence of a licensed provider.
